Honoured with Walpole “Made in the UK” Award 2025

The House of Swaine, founded in 1750, is delighted to announce it has been awarded the “Made in the UK” title at the 2025 Walpole British Luxury Awards, held at The Dorchester in London on 10 November.

This accolade recognises Swaine’s unwavering commitment to British manufacturing, preserving artisanal skills and training the next generation. From its London and Leicestershire workshops the brand maintains hand-craft traditions - stitching leather goods, creating refined Herbert Johnson military or civilian headwear and Brigg exotic umbrellas, whilst ensuring the artisanal methods are passed down from master to apprentice.

“We are deeply honoured to receive this recognition from Walpole,” said Monty Lowry Corry, Brand Director at Swaine. “This award celebrates not only our products but the skilled craftsmen and women who have kept Swaine at the forefront of British craftsmanship for 275 years.”

As Britain’s oldest luxury goods house, Swaine has continually evolved while remaining rooted in its heritage of precision, quality and the hand-made. The award affirms the brand’s strategy of combining tradition with innovative product evolution, training the next generation of talent, and fuelling the global demand for British-made excellence.
